Lapp Introduces Rugged, Abrasion-Resistant Flexible Control Cable for Industrial Applications
OLFLEX® 490

Lapp introduced a new series of flexible control cable with a rugged polyurethane jacket that is resistant to mineral oils, cutting fluids, and mechanical abuse typically found in machining and grinding operations.

The series, called OLFLEX® 490P/490CP, features 2 to 61 conductors, 600 V working voltage, and temperature range of -10°C to +80°C for flexible use, and -20°C to +80°C for stationary applications.

Constructed with finely stranded tinned copper conductors that range in size from 20 AWG to 14 AWG, OLFLEX® 490P/490CP has a minimum bending radius of 10x cable diameter, and a gray PVC jacket that can withstand harsh elements. The cable has been safety tested and approved by UL and CSA.

There are two versions available: OLFLEX® 490P,a standard unshielded type, and OLFLEX® 490CP, a shielded version. The latter features an overall foil/tinned copper braid shield that is recommended in applications where electrical interference may distort signal transmission, or where EMI emissions need to be suppressed.
